Reality

• A bank of cabinets wrapped around the ovens and warming drawer compensate for the storage lost when the designers made the wall cabinets disappear.
• Two sinks on generous swaths of counter top produce a kitchen where multiple cooks can function just as comfortably as one.
• Getting rid of wall cabinets allowed the homeowners space for a big-screen TV and a piece of African artwork.

1. Time Saving Plaster—Our pros feel that even though luminous is beautiful, Venetian plaster should be used in order to save time and money.
2. What a Ceiling—Most, when making home improvements, forget about their ceiling. Designer, Dan Barsanti, wants to change this. He applies dark wallpaper with a slight metallic luster to the ceiling in order to reflect light.
3. Eco-Friendly Walls—Yet another genius idea from our designers is to create environmentally friendly walls. Room dividers and bathroom vanities are designed from ecoresin panels that encourage light flow between spaces. This material is lighter than glass, made of a nontoxic LEED standard material creating privacy with different levels of translucency.
